Meet Callie
Hello. My name is Callie and I’m a Hanna Somatic educator. As a dancer, a weight lifter and a personal trainer, I've been interested and actively involved in movement and motion for most of my life. Being able to work with so many different people of various ages, abilities and interests, I've noticed amazing things about the way people move. What I’ve seen not only offers fascinating clues into what someone’s body is physically experiencing but also provides insights into that person’s mental and emotional states.
Why a somatic educator?
It can help with

Digestion:
Improving muscle control at the center of your body, improves digestion and brings your nervous system into a rest and digest state.
Fatigue:
Learning to move more efficiently, increases the energy available for everyday life. Thus, making movement more enjoyable and more sustainable.
Pain:
Training your muscles to contract and relax fully, restores function, reduces pain, and provides more blood flow to joints.
Mobility:
Efficient movement allows for a greater range of motion, improved confidence in daily activities, greater flexibility.
Stress:
Take back control of how you feel, how available you are for relaxation, and ultimately how you handle the daily stressors in life.
Breathing:
Learning to control your diaphragm, and pay attention to how you are breathing, improves the quality of each breath and makes you aware of when you're holding your breath.
